Join Tara Mitra in Rennes for a 2-day immersion exploring pratyahara, antaranga yoga, and the intelligence of seasonal living. Through Mysore-style practice, chanting, seasonal Ayurveda, and reflective workshops, you'll be guided into a deeper relationship with attention, awareness, and the unseen aspects of practice.

This immersive weekend is an invitation to slow down and return to the subtle thread of yoga. We explore pratyāhāra, the fifth limb, as the bridge between outer effort and inner stillness- and uncover how sound, rhythm, and simplicity bring us into greater clarity.

With Mysore-style practice, guided prānãyāma, Vedic chanting, autumnal Ayurvedic teachings, and inner-limb Yoga Sutra reflections, this workshop offers both depth and practicality. Every session is designed to help you connect inwardly not by effort, but by relationship.

Tara draws from more than 21 years of teaching, yoga therapy, and sãstric study in the Krishnamacharva tradition. Her teaching invites you to experience yoga beyond technique: as insight, orientation, and daily rhythm.

This is not about adding more. It's about refining your inner ground-so that attention itself becomes the path.

Your Weekend Workshop Schedule:

  • 7:00-8:00 a.m.

    Pranayama & Chanting - Anchoring Attention

    • Nādi Sodhana, extended exhale, breath-based mantra

    • Chanting from Yogena Cittasya, Ganesa, or svara texts

    • Stillness as entry into pratyähara

    8:00-10:00 a.m.

    Mysore-Style Practice

    • Quiet room, breath-led entry

    • Optional hands-on support and rhythm-based guidance

    12:00-1:30 p.m.

    Workshop II - Ayurveda & Autumn: Sharad Rtu, Agni & Anchoring Practices

    • Understand vata-pitta transitions and how to support agni

    • Food, rest, and self-care practices for autumn

    • Daily rhythm as both Ayurvedic and yogic

    2:00-3:30 p.m.

    Workshop III - Pratyāhara: The Overlooked Limb

    • The role of sound and attention in turning inwid

    • Practice: call-and-response chanting, listening meditation, breath
      mantra

    • Teachings from Krishnamacharya and the Yoga Sütra on pratyahara

  • 7:00-8:00 a.m.

    Pranayama, Chanting & Meditation

    • Optional gentle kumbhaka for experienced students

    • Seated breath awareness and silent mantra repetition

    • Tratak or candle gazing as dharanã anchor

    8:00-10:00 a.m.

    Mysore-Style Practice

    • Silent seated close: "Where is my attention now?"

    11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

    Workshop IV - Antaränga Yoga: Dhyâna, Dharanã & Subtle Relationship

    • Understanding attention as relationship

    • Practice: three dharanã objects (breath, sound, light)

    • Journaling + live inquiry

    1:30-3:00 p.m.

    Workshop V - Being With the Mind: A Yogic Approach (YS 1.33-1.39)

    • Practices for friendly, sattvic awareness

    • Teachings on perception, support, and subtle integration

    • Closing circle and journaling prompt for home practice
