Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra – Level II: Deepening Awareness (Dhāraṇās 26–70)

£115.00

The Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra is one of the most refined texts on direct perception and awareness within the Tantric tradition.

Level II carries this study into the middle section of the text, where the ground of contemplation widens beyond breath into sound, mantra, light, space, sensory perception, movement, stillness, and emotion.

This course extends the same lens established in Level I into subtler and more varied terrain, without presenting this stage as a departure from what has already been learned.

Rather than presenting this stage as separate or self-contained, this course reveals how its insights directly support:

  • mantra and inner vibration (nāda)

  • perception through light and space

  • the senses as a ground for practice, not a distraction from it

  • movement, stillness, and emotion as legitimate objects of awareness

Each session brings the teachings into lived experience, continuing to bridge śāstra and practice in a clear, applicable way.

Starts 2 pm (BST) Wednesday, 19 August 2026 (10 weekly classes)

Completion of Level I, or an equivalent grounding in the philosophical foundation of the text, is recommended before beginning Level II.

Course Description

The middle section of the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra extends the practitioner's ground of contemplation beyond the breath into sound, mantra, light, space, sensory perception, movement, stillness, and emotion.

In this course, these teachings are approached in a way that is:

  • structured

  • clear

  • and grounded in practice

Each class builds progressively, moving from:

  • established foundation → subtler perception → integration within daily life

Rather than adding complexity, the course supports a continued refinement of how experience itself is met. Through this, yoga becomes:

  • more expansive

  • more subtle

  • and more continuously held

This course is an invitation to let awareness widen without losing its edge,

to trade the search for technique for the recognition already present in perception,

and to understand yoga as a way of meeting experience, not only a way of practising it.
