with Tara Mitra & Dr Rob Lamport DC
July 13 - 19, 2026
Join Tara Mitra & Dr Rob Lamport (DC) for this unique opportunity to practice & deepen your understanding of yoga
This training offers a rare opportunity to study yoga in a way that weaves together practice, reflection, and direct experience. Working closely with Tara and Rob we cultivate a space where questions arise naturally, understanding deepens, and the subtleties of breath, movement, and alignment can be observed and refined over time. Through shared practice, discussion, and hands-on guidance, participants are invited to reconnect with the foundational principles of yoga, exploring not only how the body moves but how awareness, intention, and energetic flow inform every posture.
By engaging with the practice in its fullest sense — from asana, prāṇāyāma, chanting, and yogic philosophy — this training creates the conditions for clarity, insight, and confidence in both personal practice and teaching. It is a space to slow down, observe and inquire carefully, and return to the essence of yoga.

Tara Mitra
with her unique blend of East Indian and Canadian heritage, has been practising yoga for over 20 years and has been exploring her mind since 1989. This rich cultural connection and her innate gift allow her to share pure knowledge from the East with the modern world of yoga in the West, creating a bridge of understanding and appreciation.
Under the guidance of renowned teachers Tim Miller, R. Sharath, and R. Saraswathi Jois, Tara immersed herself in Ashtanga Yoga. Her dedication was evident as she spent 4 years assisting in a busy shala in Mysore, India. (lvl 2)
She has been a student of Dr. Vigneshwar Bhats for almost a decade and continually studies the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and Vedic Chanting. Tara is also a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IYAT, T. Krishnamacharya lineage) who specializes in trauma, stress, and anxiety.
Tara's unwavering belief in the path of continuous learning is the cornerstone of her teaching philosophy. Her commitment to expanding her knowledge, evident in her continuous studies of yoga sutras, Upanishads, Ayurveda, and Healing, inspires confidence in her students. This dedication, coupled with her traditional yet playful teaching style, which incorporates the teachings of her mentors, makes her a highly effective and respected yoga teacher.

Dr Rob Lamport (DC)
Dr Rob is a Gonstead chiropractor and dedicated yoga practitioner with over 28 years of experience helping people improve their health and wellbeing. Alongside his clinical work, yoga has been a central part of his life for nearly three decades.
He began practising yoga in 1997, initially studying Iyengar Yoga before developing a committed practice in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. In the early 2000s he spent several years living in Mysore, India, studying this system. During this time, his interests increasingly shifted towards the therapeutic applications of yoga and the deeper principles underlying practice, including the more subtle disciplines of pranayama and meditation.
Dr Rob has a long-standing interest in pranayama and trained under Sri O.P. Tiwari-ji of Kaivalyadhama, one of the foremost living teachers of classical pranayama. Pranayama remains a central focus of his personal practice and study.
Dr Rob is the founder of More Than Anatomy, an educational platform dedicated to helping yoga teachers develop a deeper and more practical understanding of anatomy in relation to yoga practice.
We hope you join us for this unique opportunity to learn how traditional practices can help us overcome our difficulties and thrive. This is a powerful opportunity to have close access to both Tara Mitra & Dr Rob.
All levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcome.
