  • We begin with a Gaṇeśa Pūjā, a traditional way of starting something meaningful. It is a simple offering of sound, intention, and gratitude.

  • The purpose is to clear the path, soften the mind, and welcome the practice that will unfold over the week. This moment brings everyone together before we step into breath, movement, and study. It is gentle, grounding, and quietly poetic, the way the heart settles before a journey begins.

  • No experience is needed — just your presence.

Wednesday, May 27

07:00–07:45 AM — Prāṇāyāma & Chanting

08:00–10:00 AM — Ashtanga Mysore-Style Practice

11:30–13:00 PM — The Opening & Closing Chants of Ashtanga Yoga

  • These chants prepare the mind and steady the breath before and after practice. In this session, we explore their meaning, correct pronunciation, and how sound shapes attention. You’ll learn how these traditional invocations support protection, gratitude, and focus—creating a clear beginning and a grounded close to each practice.

  • This workshop is gentle, accessible, and a beautiful way to enter the deeper side of Ashtanga.

  • The Eight Limbs offer a complete map of yoga as taught in the Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali. We look at each limb with simplicity and clarity, exploring how they unfold in daily life. From ethical foundations to breath, concentration, and inner steadiness, this workshop shows how the path becomes a daily way of living.

  • In this workshop, you’ll learn foundational techniques for working with the breath safely and with awareness.

  • We explore philosophical concepts. look at the human body, its patterns, gentle ratios, and the purpose of breathing practices in the yoga tradition.

  • This session lays a solid foundation for newcomers to prāṇāyāma and offers refinement for experienced students.

  • Clear, practical, and rooted in the traditional approach. 

Friday, May 29

11:30-13:00pm — The Five Koshas (Panchamayakośas)

  • The Upaniṣads describe five layers of our being—from the physical body to the subtle and the innermost. In this session, we explore each layer, how they relate, and how practice touches them. This understanding helps us see ourselves with more nuance and compassion.

  • We close with a short chant from the Krishnamacharya tradition.

  • A steady, reflective session that brings light to our bodies, mind and our way of experiencing the world.
