the Bhagavad Gītā - Part IV

£195.00

The Bhagavad Gītā serves as a manual for life. Just as we receive a user guide when we buy a phone, we also need guidance to navigate our human experience, which is considered sacred. This sacred text provides insights into the importance of seeking knowledge to gain a clear understanding of our journey.

The title "Bhagavad Gītā" itself reveals the essence of the text. While it is often translated as the "Song of God," a deeper etymological analysis shows that the word "Bhaga" has multiple meanings, including Dharma (righteousness), Jnana (proper knowledge), Vairagya (renunciation), and Aishwarya/Atma (soul/eternal wealth). "Gītā" means not just a song but an investigative conversation between student and teacher. Hence, the Bhagavad Gītā is an exploration of Dharma, Vairagya, Jnana, and Aishwarya. It is much more than just a divine song; it is a profound investigation into the core aspects of life.

Part IV: Jñana Yoga - Nov 5 2025 -Feb 18, 2026

In this fourth part of the series, we enter the practical heart of the Gita—jñāna yoga, the yoga of knowledge and discernment. This section, covering Chapters 13-18, reveals how wisdom is lived in daily life. Here, the Gita explains the play of the three guṇas—sattva, rajas, and tamas—shaping our thoughts, actions, food, faith, and practice. Jñāna Yoga is not about collecting ideas, but about learning to see clearly, to understand ourselves deeply, and to act with steadiness and freedom.

Guided by Dr Vigneshwar Bhat, this course explores how knowledge matures into clarity, how discernment supports right action, and how practical wisdom transforms the way we live. Like the rising sun that dispels the mist, Jñāna Yoga illuminates the path of Dharma—bringing insight, balance, and harmony to every part of life.
